Hi! My name is Daniel Leseman, based in Utrecht, NL. I’m a Music Producer, Dj, Mixing Engineer and Sound Designer from The Netherlands with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. Music has been playing an important role in my life since age 10 when I began playing electronic organ. In 1999 that took a new turn when I started buying and playing records and go clubbing. I got sucked into the world of dance music.

In 2012 I founded Outplay Records together with Hans Peeman (Junktion). Not much later we started our Fouk project with which we’ve been releasing EP’s on labels like Heist Recordings, Razor-n-Tape, House of Disco, Outplay and been traveling the world doing Dj gigs. We’ve also worked on a lot of remixes for artists like Mayer Hawthorne, Groove Armada, Joey Negro, Kraak & Smaak, The Jungle Giants, Dam Swindle, Smoove & Turrell

I’m now offering my services as a mixing/mastering engineer and producer. Throughout the years I’ve become known for my distinctive organic sound that’s incorporated in all of my productions. I love harmonic distortion and how it can create warmth and texture in music. To my ears a good mix is about dynamics, clear transients and a good overall frequency balance, while getting it up to a level that can compete with what’s already out there. I’ll do whatever it takes to get a track to sound like a finished record, without losing its original integrity. 

Every project starts with you. Who are some artists that inspire you? What is your vision for your song, EP, or album? Once I know what vibe you are after it will be quick and easy for me to deliver a great mix or master for you. I specialise in Dance Music (House, Deep House, Nu-Disco, Techno etc), but love working with new artists in all genres. I will be honest if I am not the right fit for your project and can help steer you in the right direction.
